Fellow CAMWESTies,
?????????????????????????????? just a brief note to let you know what is coming up in the CAMWEST World in the near future.

The most important approaching event in our calendar is the upcoming ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING to be held on Sunday 29 September 2008. The AGM will be a lunch time meeting at Narragingy Reserve, Rooty Hill. CAMWEST will supply soft drink, meat and salad for a BBQ Lunch, BYO Alcoholic drinks.
Ian McIndoe & Michael Goard are planning to ride to the event & will pick up interested riders along the T-Way & M7 Cycle path. Watch these spaces for actual times. Children, spouses & neighbours or other interested parties are welcome. We will need to know numbers about a week in advance.

This meeting is vital to the continuing viability of CAMWEST & I urge all of you to consider some level of involvement in the group. It may be as simple as attending Local Government Cycleway meetings & reporting back to members. Any level of involvement is welcomed.

Next up is a request for assistance from Bicycle NSW for several events . The first is from Tony Henderson to Rob? Kemp & myself. I believe that Rob is heavilly involved in preparing for Sustainable House Day & work takes me out of the city for all of next week including Saturday, so if anyone is interested, let Tony know. There is a CAMWEST Banner at my house, but I will need to know about it by Sunday24/08/08 at the latest

"Saturday week Tom and myself will be heading out to Blacktown Olympic Park to take part in he Blacktown City Family Sports Fest. The day is about getting people involved in sporting groups and was thinking this could be an ideal opportunity for you both to recruit more members for CamWest? If you or anyone from Camwest is available to come out on the day we will be more then happy to share our store and push people to take up cycling and join CamWest. Let me know if interested and I'll send you out more details."

The final event is the Blacktown start for the City of Sydney Spring Cycle. Volunteers are needed to act as route Marshalls, support riders & assistants at the start site at the Blacktown Olympic Athletics site. The Spring Cycle is on? Sunday 19 October 2008. This is an opportunity to participate in this exciting inaugural event. All you need do is register as a volunteer with Bicycle NSW & let them know that you wish to assist with the Blacktown Leg. go to www.bicyclensw.org.au & follow the volunteer links. All volunteers receive a volunteer pack, free entry to the event & in most cases, the opportunity to ride the event.
