Fellow CAMWESTies,
I don't usually run adverts, but this bike looks fairly good. Alex is very knowledgeable when it comes to bikes & his appraisal & description would be very accurate.

Subject: bike for sale

Hi John,

I currently have a bike here for sale that belongs to a friend and thought you may know someone who is interested / looking around (initially I was wondering if you might have been looking for a road touring bike for Sandra as it would probably suit?).

Its a 56 cm Surly pacer frame (http://surlybikes.com/frames/pacer_frame/) that has been built up with a full Shimano 105 triple groupset (including the hubs laced into hand built wheels with velocity aerohead rims)

Black in colour, comes with brooks B17 leather saddle, cateye computer.

Bike has done about 4000 km, but all running gear well maintained and in good condition. Unfortunately the owner has had an injury that means he can no longer ride the bike in its current configuration and rather than reconfigure it I have just built him a custom xootr folder.

He invested around $ 3500 to build it but hasn't had much luck trying to sell it in the Canberra race dominated environment so I thought it might be worth checking out your Cam West contacts.

Happy with offers in the $1000-1200 range - you couldn't go close to building anything like it for that sort of money. If someone did want it reconfigured with trekking bars (like your LHT) and flat bar levers and brakes I'd be willing to do the change over for an extra $100 (I have all the bits) but I'm only in the country till the end of April otherwise they'll have to wait till the end of July. Definately only a sealed road or good dirt tourer as the frame will probably only take up to 700C x 30 tyres max. Got good belted tyres on it at the moment.

Couple of pics attached - happy to take enquires if anybody is interested.

Cheers
