Here Here,

I agree with the honorable member from Baulkham Hills.
Even if it's just the minimum of an email group with a website
we need to stay as 'representatives' of all cyclists.

I get a decent hearing at Councils and RTA because I am from Camwest.
Without Camwest, I am just a lone individual that can be easily ingnored.

CAMWESTIES,
I cannot believe the negative thoughts of those that
met.

That they are more recent members may explain their
negativity. CAMWEST has gone through several periods
of inactivity. Almost always when there was not an
active president. The cause and so the "reason to be"
of CAMWEST is based on being driven or pushed by
individual/s who have a passion or mission to achieve.

A fourth option is to leave CAMWEST dormant until
someone pops up to push it along.

Bicycle NSW cannot manage it's own funds successfully
so I strongly object to handing the money over to
them. If CAMWEST stays dormant the funds can be
invested in a Conservative investment so that CAMWEST
can be like the Phoenix and reemerge a financially
sound organisation.

If you are going to bury CAMWEST the funds belong to
the members and so should be returned to the members.

I think old CAMWESTERS should unite, don't let these
youngsters bury CAMWEST yet.

CAMWEST is in a doldrum at the moment. Cycleways are
well planned for most of our region, most people are
fighting for their own/family survival and are time
poor but there are many things on the future horizon
that CAMWEST will need to become involved in.
