[CAMWEST-discuss] Heritage site ready

Marty,

My computer is playing up with internet for some reason but what I've seen
looks fabulous. I agree that we should 'commission' it after proofreading
from as many members as possible in the next few weeks then look at how we
launch it. Agree with a Push On article, speaking with Parramatta Council
about an article in their various newsletters and formalising a link from
their website to ours--they must see this as a very valuable asset--its so
much better than what they have on their website and they have it for a
bargain price. We should also see links with National Trust website and ask
them to promote the site and the self-guided tour, have copies of the map
and guide at the major heritage sites around Parramatta and the Heritage
Centre of course. A meeting with Craig Edmondson, Council Tourism officer
would be a good idea to discuss launch strategy. Copies of tour at Bicycle
NSW shop and major bike shops might be an idea. We should definitely plan a
guided ride around the time of the launch. Long-term I'd like to lobby the
powers that be who organise Heritage Week to get the tour on the event
calaendar and make that the primary guided tour of the year as you get so
much publicity through that event. Lets formalise a plan.

Due to computer troubles proof reading is a little difficult but did notice
on Texture Theme, should be 'Take a close up look AT not of'.

Under Texture theme, the blue writing describing the photos is hard to
read--suggest use of different colour.

Cant give more feedback at present as computer keeps freezing on me. Can
others help by reviewing the site ?

I believe this is Camwest's finest publication ever. While Marty has been
renumerated for his work, I'm sure he's put alot of extra hours in that we
couldn't afford to pay him for. The $3000 council grant will go towards
renumerating Marty's work but I'm sure you will agree its worth alot more.
