Unless most people say they cannot make it, I will host a BBQ lunch this
Saturday, 13 August, from 12 noon until 3pm, in hopes that our new members
can meet some of the 'old' members. Bring a couple of snags or whatever to
put on the hot plate. We've got plates and cutlery and glasses. If you want
to bring your favoured liquid, please feel free. Plenty of bike and car
parking space on our big driveway at
10 Barnetts Rd, Winston Hills (9639 4654).
Please let me know as soon as possible if you can attend . If a half dozen
or more (especially the newbies) can get along for all or part of the time,
I'll email to let you know it is on. As it is short notice it may be a
problem for many. If less than six can make it I'll let you know it's NOT on
and we'll try to gather on some other occasion.
I think Mark's idea of riding on Sunday at 8am is fine for those with the
legs and lungs for it at that hour. If the BBQ lunch happens the day before
we can also discuss what's to be done about Parramatta Park. I'm hoping Rob
Catford will get the bit between his teeth, as he has been urging the
Parramatta Cycleways Committee to invite a rep from Parramatta Park to
attend a Committee meeting to discuss a number of issues. Unfortunately this
will not occur until several weeks after their deadline of 22 August.
Danny will be speaking with Jacob Messer. And I'm hoping Rob C will also
give him a call.
Ian
