My apologies. There were a couple of small changes that I had overlooked. Please see final version attached.

The attached letter of submission on Parramatta Park is what will be delivered by hand on Monday. The only substantial difference from the version sent out by Rob C is that on the third page of the letter, third parag from the top, the following corrects what Rob had (probably an oversight as he is urgently preparing for a trip to ACT in connection with his work): 'All parking should be provided on the outside (i.e. left-hand side) of the road, where the shared walking/cycling lane is on the inside of the clockwise loop, in order to avoid conflict with walkers and cyclists.'

Upon delivering the letter I will try to impress on the relevant Parramatta Park administration that they should arrange a time and place to meet with cyclists to discuss the issues, as (a) it is too important a matter to be treated cavallierly, (b) the community of cycling advocates does not appreciate being told to make submissions at such short notice, and (c) any such meeting should include reps from the RTA (to deal with T-way issues that impact on Parramatta Park and cycling), Parramatta City Council and any other body likely to have a stake in the outcome.

    Dear CAMWESTIES,

Ian will be hand delivering the submission next week so if you have any further comments pls mention asap. I've tried to incorporate everyone's ideas or get the most popular ideas included. Biggest change to draft is moving the cycle lane to the interior of the road loop. We feel this will best reduce the conflict between motorists and cyclists. See letter for more detail. This will be controversial so open to hearing some debate around this point.

We've also called for a meeting with park officials to discuss the proposals further face-to-face before they commence any works.
