I think there is a section at Kellyville missing, from Showground Rd to the northern side of Kellyville. Supposed to be completed with the T-way, I think.

HI,
I noticed that the Windsor Rd cycleway appears completed. Has anyone rode it all the way to Windsor or even Richmond or even Kurmond?
I am interested in riding it with someone who has experienced it.
Let me know.

Fellow CAMWESTies,
The holidays are over pretty well and we are back at work, school or any other daily grind. 2008 has come around & already one twelfth of it has disappeared.
CAMWEST this year loses its innocence and turns 21 years old and thanks must go out to those who have kept this vital organisation alive for all those years. I urge you to read the transcript of Ian McIndoe's interview on the website to gain an insight into the heritage of CAMWEST. I have included a quote from that interview setting out Ian's wishes for the future of CAMWEST:-
What are your hopes for CAMWEST?
"I hope the organisation thrives. We need to keep recruiting new people as it is inevitable that members will come and go as other commitments take over their lives. It would be nice to think that we might actually grow and therefore increase our influence. It is important to harness member’s motivation to pursue issues they are passionate with but it is also important that as an organisation we take up other opportunities that come our way."
As we move into 2008 we are presented with a new range of opportunities to promote cycling. Climate change is very much on the agenda, fuel prices are spiraling upwards, obesity across all ages is becoming an epidemic and people are becoming far more aware of the need to seek out alternatives to the motor car as a form of transport. Cycling infrastructure has improved in the area, largely due to the work of previous members of CAMWEST, but there is still a long way to go to reach a satisfactory state. One large problem at present is the gaps in our infrastructure such as the T-Way, Parramatta Valley Cycleway & the newly opened Western Sydney Parklands Cycleway.
One important way to grow our organisation is to give it a public face and voice and to that end, I am seeking stories and news that can be passed on to local media outlets and used to update our already excellent website. These stories can be about issues pertinent to your local area, rides that are being run, local achievements in cycling, in other words, anything at all relating to cycling in the greater West.
Please send anything you think may be of interest to me at jonhol2 at netscape.net or simply forward it through the discuss email address listed above.
