I have no objection to the letter being sent under the CAMWEST banner.
 
The RTA reply you refered to is indeed a generic one sent to a number of groups, I received a copy myself recently following a letter campaign organised by a local group interested in the canal reserve (I forget the name but a few months ago they where collecting signatures for such a campaign).  I expect, as a consequence, you will merely get a variation on the 'traffic flows and cost' don't justify a bridge response.  
 
However, a word of caution.  Be carefull what you ask for, we might actually get a bridge but its design and construction could be such that cyclists may not be able to ride across but be forced to wheel their bikes due narrowness of path, inncle of ramps and dog leg turns.

                               I have drafted a letter to the Miniter for Transport, Mr Borger in protest aginst the failure to build a bridge over Reconciliation Road at the old Boral Quarry site. I have included the contents here & would like to forward it under the CAMWEST Banner. Does anyone have any objections to its content or direction?
