Hi everyone,

Following up from the email sent out last Sunday regarding the Australia
Day festivities at Parramatta Park <http://www.ausdayparramatta.com.au/>:

  * The ride from Rooty Hill to Parramatta Park is starting at 10am on
Tuesday the 26th January beside the public telephone and dodgy bike
racks on the north side of Rooty Hill station - near the bottom of
    the pedestrian overpass ramp.
It will be a slow paced ride, and the total ride distance will be
around 23km. Around 2/3 of the route will be utilizing shared
paths, and the rest will be on streets carrying reasonably low
amounts of traffic. We'll be passing by Doonside, Blacktown & Seven
Hills Railway stations, so you can start from these points if you'd
like a shorter ride. Please confirm if and where you are planning to
join us. The organised ride is planned to be one-way only. There
is no trackwork scheduled for that day, so it should be possible to
catch the train back to your starting point.
  * *We're after volunteers to help out at the Bike Valet Parking*.
Please email Rob if you'd like to help out, with an indication of
preferred time(s). The BVP is running between 12 noon and around
    9.30pm.

Just a reminder about the other cycling related things happening on the day:

  * At the centre of things is free Bike Valet Parking, just inside the
Tudor Gate entry on the corner of George & O'Connell Sts (See
    http://www.ausdayparramatta.com.au/__data/assets/image/0004/172129/Aus-Day-map-2016.jpg).
A free safety check or tune-up will be available from a bike
    mechanic between 12pm and 4pm.
  * Paul is running three 90 minute Heritage rides on the day - starting
at 11am, 1pm & 3pm. Free bike hire will also be available for those
wishing to participate in the Heritage rides who don't have a bike
    with them.

Hope to see you on one of the rides or at the bike valet parking :)

Cheers,

Rob. email: robkemp at tpg.com.au, ph 0415 902 708
