Did anyone go to this meeting?

If not I’ll ask them if I can make a written submission.

Hi CAMWESTies,

Further to Peter Gilbert's email a couple of weeks ago, there is a public meeting where participants are invited to share their views and suggestions about the bike facilities in the Auburn area. This area includes Sydney Olympic Park, so it's one of the main recreational cycling areas in Sydney. See below for details about the meeting. If you haven't filled out the survey yet, please take a few minutes to fill it in. It can be accessed from the link below.

cheers,

Rob

Updating the Auburn City Bike Plan

Auburn City Council is currently updating its existing Bike Plan which was prepared in 1995. Auburn City Council has commissioned GTA Consultants to prepare the new Bike Plan for Auburn City; the City has undergone significant changes in the last two decades and needs a plan that reflects the new area. The new Bike Plan will set out the locations for new bike routes and facilities and will also improve the existing infrastructure.

Stakeholder and community input is a critical process in the development of the new Bike Plan. Council would love your help in gaining as much public input for the plan as possible. This means we will be able to deliver infrastructure suited to the needs of those using it. Please distribute the below information to your members, partner groups and anybody else who has an interest in cycling in the Auburn City local government area.

People can have their say by participating in a public meeting where participants will be invited to express their views and suggestions about the bike facilities in the local area. The public meeting will be held in the Auburn City Council Atrium at 1 Susan St, Auburn on Thursday 11 February at 6pm. For registrations and more information please contact Council on 9735 1222. We are also encouraging people to fill out a quick survey on what upgrades to bicycle infrastructure are needed in Auburn City. The link to the survey is http://www.auburn.nsw.gov.au/Welcome/News/Pages/New%20Auburn%20City%20Bike%20Plan.aspx

We also invite you to like and share our Facebook Post which can be found on our official Council page: Auburn City Council Sydney<https://www.facebook.com/AuburnCityCouncil/>.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and will result in the best bicycle infrastructure possible in Auburn City.

Kind Regards,

Michael Petkovic
