Subject: [bnsw-council] BUGs Making Cycling Better seminar series

Dear BUG leaders and teams,
Bike North is hosting a unique opportunity for those interested in promoting cycling in Sydney and advocating for better outcomes for cycling, and YOU are invited to register to attend.
We have found that many people want to work for better cycling outcomes but don't know how to do it, so we are running a monthly seminar series that will cover every topic that you need to know about to be an informed and effective advocate to "Make Cycling Better".
We have engaged the well-known and eminently qualified consultant Warren Salomon to run the training sessions. Each session will consist of an illustrated mini lecture of about 30 minutes supported by take-home material. This will be followed by questions and then some practical workshops related to questions brought by the participants. Sometime each evening there will be a coffee and refreshment break and a chance for some great networking.
Our seminars will be held on the third Tuesday of each month starting THIS MONTH and running through until June 2017. We will be meeting in North Ryde at 7pm, with business concluded by 9:30pm.

I have listed the dates and topics in the table below. For anyone who is interested I can send additional information.
We expect participants will want to attend all sessions in order to gain most benefit, but this is not compulsory and substitutions will be accepted. We are asking a small charge to help Bike North cover refreshment and room costs, just $44 ($4 per session) for the entire series per person! This is the cheapest and best training you will ever be offered. Payment will be by direct bank transfer when registration is confirmed.
We have limited numbers available, and you MUST register to attend, however we will have a limit of 2 (possibly 3) members from each BUG, so we can spread the benefits as far as possible. Alternate delegates will be permitted if the registered person cannot attend.
Please pass this on to your BUG colleagues via your networks.
Time is short so registration is by return email to me by Friday 15 July. Contact me urgently if you have an interest in attending or any questions.
Ride and smile,
Doug
