Subject: [CAMWEST-members] Invitation to Parramatta Transition Forum

We are pleased to announce a community forum in the Parramatta Town Hall on the afternoon of 26 June 2011. The forum will gather groups and individuals from the Parramatta region interested in a sustainable environment and a resilient society.

 

The aim of the forum is to combine our diverse individual resources, knowledge, skills and energy to make a positive impact on the future of Parramatta and beyond.  

 

We are asking groups and individuals concerned about our future well-being to send up to three representatives to the forum so that your concerns and goals are included in our shared future. Please see the attached invitation for details.

 

Transition Parramatta is part of the global Transition Town movement generating strategies and hope around the world in response to oil depletion and climate change.  Our goal is to create resilient, cooperative and self-sufficient communities able to prosper responsibly.

 

Your input is requested so all the needs, goals, dreams and interests of our wider area are part of the solutions we co-create in response to our changing times.

 

I will appreciate receiving the name and contact details of the best person to communicate with regarding your participation in the forum.

 

I have attached a poster for the forum which you may wish to make available to colleagues or other organisations.
