Dear John,

I would like to sincerely thank you and your BUG members for completing theWhat is important to you in Blacktown? survey. The data and comments that we have collected from the survey were outstanding and will greatly contribute to Bicycle Network’s campaign to improve cycling infrastructure in your local council during the elections on the 10th of September.

In order to show our appreciation for your support, we are giving away10 tickets to our members and friends to attend our Bike Futures Conference 2016 which will take place at UNSW on Wednesday the 7th of September.

The Conference is a jam packed one-day program full of new and innovative policies, practices and technologies to support and encourage bike riding in your community.

The giveaway is however “first in, best dressed” so please share with your cycling community and email me back the full contact details of attendees as soon as possible and before next Friday the 19th of August.

Once again, thanks again for your support to Bicycle Network.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Warm regards,

Importance: High

Dear John,

I have recently started as Bicycle Network’s new Government and External Relations Adviser based in Sydney.

I am getting in touch to find out about your ideas and plans for campaigning during the upcoming local government elections, and any opportunities there might be for us to work together.

Bicycle Network is currently surveying our members and friends who live in Blacktown City Council to see what’s most important to them in their neighbourhood.

We will then use that information to seek commitments from candidates with the aim of electing council members who will work to deliver better bicycle infrastructure, policies and programs to get more people riding.

We would really value contributions from your members. Would you please be able to share a quick survey we made with your BUG members and ask them to fill it out for us before the 8th of August?

Here is the link to the survey - What is important to you in Blacktown?

In the meantime, it would be great to meet or talk on the phone to find out more about any opportunities to collaborate or assist the work you are doing.

We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Kind regards,

Peter Eckersley
