[CAMWEST-discuss] [CAMWEST-announce] Fwd: Community Building Partnerships - Funding Opportunity for your local Bicycle User Groups

I'd like to nominate re-surfacing of the shared path between Anzac Bridge and Iron Cove Bridge. It is so rough there is a real risk of genital damage. And the adjacent surface of Victoria Road is baby-bottom smooth.
Any takers?
Kevin Eadie.

Fellow CAMWESTies ,

here is an opportunity to get some Grant funding for a project you may have had floating around in your head for a while. Any thoughts or takers. You have until 18 July 2014 to submit an application. As an Incorporated Group CAMWEST can apply for this funding.

Dear Bicycle NSW BUGs,

I hope your all thriving on riding.

We came across this funding opportunity and
strongly encourage you to explore the opportunity for your local bicycle user
group and local community.

The NSW Community Building Partnership program
aims to provide improved community infrastructure for the people of NSW and
encourage the enhancement of local community based activities that create more
vibrant and inclusive communities. The bicycle covers all this and more (with bells on), so we encourage you and your members to review the opportunity and consider if you could apply.

The program offers grants across the State at
an individual State Electorate level for community infrastructure projects. Grant
funding of up to $300,000 is available for every NSW State Electorate. An
additional $100,000 is available for electorates with higher levels of social
disadvantage as indicated by higher comparative unemployment rates.

Bicycle NSW would love to support your applications if and where we can. I am a big believer in collaboration and anticipate that if there is bicycle infrastructure requirements in your area, there will also be the local talent and passion to create an application before July 18.

Please let me know if Bicycle NSW can contribute to your entry.

Kind regards,

Sophie Bartho, Executive Director Communications
