Sydney Rides Festival 2016
	From the calorie-neutral Chocolate Ride, to the delightful Cargo Bike Parade and night-time spectacle at Light the City, the 2016 Sydney Rides Festival has something to inspire everyone.
	Starting with the Sydney Rides Breakfast on 4 October, the program features more than 20 events celebrating the humble bike.
	Read on to find out more about the signature events and festival picks.

Signature events


Sydney Rides Breakfast
	Free coffee, pastries and bike tune-ups to celebrate the start of the festival.
Tuesday 4 October
7am to 9am
Observatory Hill or Prince Alfred Park



Sydney Rides the Park
	Pack up the family, gather your mates and get set for an adventure. Featuring BMX displays, kite workshops, parkour, mountain boarding and more. Download your event guide today.
Saturday 8 October
9am to 4pm
Sydney Park



Suit Ride 
	Join the smartest riders in town for a roll through the city centre followed by free lunch. The Suit Ride shows how easy it is to ride through the city. And there’s not an inch of lycra in sight.
Wednesday 12 October
12pm to 1.30pm
Harmony Park, Surry Hills



Spring Cycle
	Choose the 12km Sydney City Ride, 55km Classic Ride or 105km Challenge for a stunning bike ride through Sydney.

Rides depart from 6am to 9am
Starts at St Leonards Park, North Sydney 



Light the City
	Don your brightest for a night-time walk or ride in the heart of the city.

Brompton Urban Challenge 
	Cycle the city, interpret clues and complete challenges. Take part in teams of two to four riders, with at least one Brompton folding bike to qualify.
Saturday 8 October

Meet at Prince Alfred Park



ARTCycle Mystery Ride
	A guided tour with mobile cinema projections featuring art films and shorts.

Meet at Sydney Park Cycling Centre



Saturday Slowies
	An easy paced ride from Dulwich Hill Bicycle Club for novice riders. Ride from Marrickville to Centennial Park and back.

Pocket-sized Precincts 
	An itty bitty city art quest for all ages. Collect clues from local shops that lead to beautiful parks with hidden artworks.

Suffragettes and Suicide Alley
	Find out how the suffragette movement and the rise of bicycles are linked on a slow-paced 20km ride visiting historic landmarks.

National Ride2Work Day 
	If you’re thinking about riding to work, this is the day to do it. Stop by one of the free breakfasts throughout the city.

	An almost calorie-neutral bike tour of chocolatiers, gelato makers, specialty shops and patisserie and confectionary wholesalers you never knew existed.

Sydney Bike Polo Slayerfest
	Sydney Bike Polo hosts some of the best Australasian teams for this two day tournament. Watch the action and try it yourself.
